The Zimbabwean writer Tsitsi Dangarembga’s Nervous Conditions (1988) is a novel that shares many of the preoccupations of African women’s autobiographical writing, and is spoken throughout by a single narrator who may be defined as “a narrative voice” or “speaker” of the text, one who supplies the “I said” tags and descriptions. However, Tsitsi Dangarembga’s Nervous Conditions invites a number of questions regarding human rights as an answer to the world’s problems. The study aims firstly to explore the effect of colonialism on the lives of the African women in the text Nervous Conditions and how it is still evident I had the same feelings about the TSITSI DANGAREMBGA'S 'NERVOUS CONDITIONS in my review.
